Company Description: The Nickelodeon Games Group creates and operates Nickelodeon’s virtual worlds and persistent (MMO) game experiences for kids and family audiences. Our current worlds and products include the iconic Neopets, now celebrating its 11th year, Petpet Park, a virtual world that incorporates Neopets lore, Monkey Quest, an original action-adventure MMOG, leading game sites AddictingGames and Shockwave, and the Nick JR Boost sites. Job Description: The Nickelodeon Games Group Marketing team is responsible for developing on-site and off-site global marketing campaigns and promotions to build brand awareness and drive traffic to Neopets, Petpet Park, and Monkey Quest. In addition, the Virtual Worlds integrated marketing team creates custom programs and campaigns to support ad sales. The marketing team works closely with all departments including graphic design, creative development, production, programming, and premium businesses. Interns will work closely with Marketing Managers on all elements of advertising campaigns and promotions, including: Assisting in development of proposals, calendars, and productions schedules for client campaigns Participating in development of advertising creatives Pulling weekly and monthly campaign reports and assisting in the development of marketing recaps Conducting competitive research on various marketing promotions Throughout the course of the semester, interns will work on various marketing initiatives in development including ongoing campaigns for integrated marketing initiatives, new game launches, NC Mall promotions, global Neopets site initiatives, Petpet Park marketing, and new world launches. Job Requirements: Extremely detail-oriented Highly organized; ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong interpersonal skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel Extremely hard working and eager to learn Interest in learning about online advertising, marketing, and virtual worlds a plus The Spring 2012 internship program runs from January – May.
