Green Education Start-up – Public Relations

Responsibilities:
Supporting the in-house public relations and brand-building function

Monitoring the news and reporting relevant content internally

Conducting media surveys/audits

Building, updating, and maintaining contact lists of journalists

Drafting press releases

Qualifications

Able to take initiative and work independently

Experience with writing copy and press releases

Highly organized

Naturally outgoing and social

Ability to operate well in a collaborative environment

Very comfortable with social media

Previous experience in communications, media relations, journalism, marketing, or branding desirable

Degree – or pursuing a degree – in journalism or communications preferred

Agency experience preferred

In-house PR experience a plus

Ability to write story angles desirable

Additional Information

This is an hourly paid internship with the potential for full-time, salaried employment after a 6-month period. You must be able to start immediately, therefore no current students, please.
