PURPOSE OF THIS INTERNSHIP

Red Bull is looking for a team of interns to work with some of the world’s most innovative and exciting marketers and media specialists. This internship will provide a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and insight into the daily operations of growing a global brand. Responsibilities will vary, but at the end of the day this experience is what you make of it.

KEY RESULTS AND DELIVERABLES (WHAT DOES SUCCESS LOOK LIKE)

  • Extensive work and understanding of sampling programs
  • Assist in Blue and Silver sampling campaigns
  • Provide creative ideas and sampling initiatives
  • Work with event team to plan and aid in on-site event assistance
  • Provide assistance to Marketing and Culture teams
  • Establish strong relationships with vendors, artists, and teams
  • Create sports, culture and collegiate programing

INTERNSHIP DETAILS

  • Duration: Summer 2011
  • Hours: 40 hours/week
  • Required Travel: 10%

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Actively enrolled in a four-year college/university.
  • Strategic insight into sampling and collegiate landscape.
  • Dependable attendance and job performance.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with people of all levels; team player.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects and prioritize work (i.e. strong planning and organizing skills)
  • Ability to work in a high energy and fast paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn.

CONSUMER COLLECTING

  • Market and/or on campus marketing/event /sampling campaigns experiences a must.
  • Ability to generate ideas that will drive sampling and collegiate programs forward with creativity, wit and a touch of anti-authority.
  • Strategic insight into sampling and collegiate landscape.

CULTURE MARKETING

  • Working knowledge of emerging scenes (non-Top 40) – particularly in music (house, glitch, electro, dubstep, hip hop, indie, punk, etc)
  • Ability to navigate relationships with artists, musicians, event promoters, event producers, etc
  • Comfortable/responsible operating in diverse on-premise (bar/nightclub) environments
  • 24/7 work ethic – weekends/nights
  • Marketing concentration preferred

SPORTS MARKETING

  • Sports Business and/or Marketing concentration preferred.
  • Related event marketing experience preferred.
  • Actively immersed in sports industry

COMMUNICATIONS

  • Strong writing skills
  • Creative thinking
  • Knowledge of the current media landscape
  • Willingness to travel
