| CBS 2 offers college students the opportunity to intern in many of our departments including News, Sports, Meteorology, Creative Services, Engineering, Finance, Sales/Marketing and Communications/Public Affairs.
The following internships are available for the Summer 2012: Community Affairs Assist Public Affairs Manager on all community partnerships and events sponsored by the Station. Assist with writing press releases and pitches for outside media. Updating and publishing directly onto cbsnewyork.com’s Eye on the Community website. Assist with footage license requests. Creative Services Work with Creative Services team to create promotional spots for daily newscasts. Logging, researching and assisting on shoots are some of the daily tasks. Graphic Arts Assist with creating over-the-shoulder, full screen, lower third graphics for daily newscasts, specials, promotional spots and public service announcements. Sales/Marketing Assist Account Executives on sales pitches, presentations and calls. Engineering Will assist on troubleshooting and diagnosing technical problems with broadcast equipment and systems. Learn and gain hands-on experience with state of the art HD production and distribution technology and state of the art hardware and software diagnostic tools. Finance/Accounting Assist Payroll Manager, Accounts Payable Manager and Accounts Receivable Manager. Learn the financial aspects of a television station. |
