| Assist with volunteer/staff training, recreational activities and programs, league schedules, program budgeting and program evaluations. Answers telephone and provides public information when needed. Takes registration and reservations, assists in preparation of marketing events, prepares departmental reports and other duties as assigned. College/University internship policies may require a minimum amount of hours in a semester in order to earn college credits. Please see your academic advisor or internship coordinator at your school for more information about internship requirements. If selected, applicants must show proof of student status and course of study. |
| Minimum Qualifications: |
| Must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university majoring in Recreation and Leisure Studies, Exercise and Sports Science, or closely related field. Current CPR certification required prior to starting internship. Requires strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills and the ability to work independently to develop and implement programs. |
| Special Requirements: |
| This is a volunteer internship position, approximately 40 hours per week. Selected applicants must have a flexible schedule.
