The work environment here is one truly characterized by a small business/entrepreneurial atmosphere, and the intern will be able to make of it what she/he wants. We simply are not big enough to have a position available to be filled by anything specific like an accountant or a marketing specialist. We need someone who would thrive in a small business environment – one that would require that the intern wear many hats. One day she may be creating an idea for a marketing email to our customers, the next she may be doing some customer service. But, again – at its core, the intern will be assisting with order fulfillment, scheduling pickups, and generally keeping the flow of business going as it reaches its peak in August.
The internship will last from July 16th until August 31st, and we need someone who can work from 9 until 5 Monday through Friday. While we expect the student to work according to this schedule, often times the flow of business allows for flexibility, particularly in those initial two weeks in July where the student may only have to work for part of those days. In August – it is pretty much around the clock.
For the student’s work over this six week period, we will pay $3,000. Intern will be paid every two weeks.
In the end, we need someone that is reliable. Someone who will show up and help us do what is necessary to keep a small internet business going for the months of July and August. Again, this entails a little of everything, and we would welcome the chance to pass off some of the marketing aspects to the intern, but, again – at its core, we need someone who can help us fulfill orders and get them out the door.
