If you are a Junior or Senior in college and are looking for some real world experience, Quiksilver offers internships in various departments throughout the year that provide college students with closely supervised practical experience in the workplace . You can intern in departments like Merchandising & Design, Retail Buying, Marketing, Human Resources or Production to name a few. Quiksilver offers interns insight to their career paths through career specific tasks, direct supervision and evaluation. Graphic Design- Interns will be shown the action sports world from the graphic perspective. They will learn about color & sizing, linebooks, and creating layouts for books. Graphic Design majors preferred. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office, Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.

Marketing- Interns will gain knowledge of the different ways of marketing. They will learn about marketing photos, layouts, and other media. They will help with market research, logging and tracking inventory, and scanning and sizing photos. Marketing majors preferred.

Merchandising- Interns will learn the process of merchandising step-by-step from initial sku plan and design to completion of samples. They will work closely with all levels of staff in multiple departments. They will assist merchants with filing, sample wrangling, line guides and department organization. Merchandising majors preferred. Must have strong computer skills, especially Excel.

Online Marketing- interns will learn about the development of an ecommerce and catalog business. The areas of focus will be search engine marketing, email promotion and product copy. Must have basic MS Office knowledge, English or Communications major preferred.

Production/Sourcing- Interns will study how to organize and coordinate development packages for overseas vendors, how to track all components of development of fashion product. They will also learn about acceptable fabric and trim submittals, the process of approving raw components, data entry for PO entry/maintenance and tracking of purchase orders through the system.
