Revlon Unpaid Internship Program is looking for smart, savvy and passionate students to intern in our Public Relations department for the fall semester. As an intern with Revlon, you will report to one of the department managers on the PR team. The manager will be accountable for providing daily managerial oversight and direction in addition to coaching and developmental opportunities to ensure the internship is value add for each student.

You will be required to keep track of and submit hours to your manager at the end of each week, and it is your duty to inform the manager immediately during the week if you are approaching a total of 30 hours worked in any given week. Under no circumstances are you to work more than 30 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:
The interns’ responsibilities might include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Update and maintain Revlon media database – print, online and television
  • Organizing products, gift bags and press materials for media partners and/or social media partners, NY Fashion Week (September) if applicable to the intern’s timeframe with Revlon, philanthropic partners (NBCCF, Rex, Run/Walk, Jenesse, etc)
  • Supporting PR department onsite at select NY Fashion Week shows and corresponding makeup tests (September), if applicable to the intern’s timeframe with Revlon
  • Shop for competitive product needed during Fashion Week (September), if applicable to the intern’s timeframe with Revlon
  • Providing advance and onsite support at select media events, such as editor/blogger events for new product launches
  • Working on research projects as needed for PR (i.e. researching possible event or philanthropic projects, designer collaborations, stylists, makeup artists, etc.)
  • Tracking media coverage and social media activity of Revlon and competitors, and preparing reports as needed with this information
  • Tracking online buzz around brand ambassadors
  • Contributing to creation of PR department reports and PowerPoint presentations, as needed
  • Supporting the PR department with additional administrative duties, including copying, scanning, filing and answering phone for the PR Managers.
  • Continue upkeep of available, current products in the product closet
  • Develop skeleton press releases for new Revlon, Mitchum, or Almay products
  • Organize editorial reviews of Revlon products
  • Review/correspond accordingly with philanthropic organizations
  • Must be currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate school
  • Capable of writing and distributing social media postings, email blasts and press releases
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills with ability to present ideas and information clearly.
