Please Note: Students @ Work Internships paid at minimum-wage and structured to last approximately 12 weeks. Program dates are September 10th – November 30th. Course Credit is available. Resume and Cover Letter are required. Students should have a strong academic record (3.0 strongly preferred). Students must have completed their sophomore year in college prior to the start of the internship. In addition, students may not have graduated college or graduate school prior to the start of the internship (i.e. STUDENTS MUST BE ENROLLED IN SCHOOL DURING THE TIME OF THIS INTERNSHIP). Students seeking college credit are strongly encouraged to apply. Note to International Students: All international students will be required to provide documentation of proper visa paperwork prior to your arrival if accepted to the program. Due to the high volume of candidates for Turner’s Internship Program, interested students are encouraged to apply for openings as soon as possible, as these positions will be filled on an ongoing basis. Department:

Adultswim.com is a fast-paced, growing site that supports on-air programming. This department is responsible for pushing out creative content for games, feature content, music, and random areas of interest.

 

Potential Opportunities:

The Editorial intern will assist the Adult Swim creative team with daily, weekly and long-term writing tasks, both technical and creative. Responsibilities include writing descriptions and keywords for 1-2 minutes clips of Adult Swim shows, creating and implementing annotations on YouTube clips, pitching ideas for editorial content, crafting marketing copy for Facebook posts and email blasts, and providing metadata for various pages, games and videos.

 

This opportunity will allow the intern to experience working in a fast –paced, team based environment, to learn the process of pitching and refining creative ideas, and to garner technical writing skills for a myriad of digital platforms including web, mobile, search engine optimization and social media.

 

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, currently enrolled in a writing-related field such as English, Journalism, or Communications. A general MS Office proficiency is needed along with organizational excellence. Intern will need to be able to communicate clearly in written and oral form. There must be an interest in the online community and adult swim content. Sense of humor is optional.
