The PR Internship in our Football division will provide you with hands-on experience with PR programs. This is a great opportunity for the passionate, active and focused graduate student or undergraduate who is interested in a career in PR or Sports Marketing. Throughout the course of the internship, you will work closely with our Football team and assist in a variety of challenging and interesting projects. Duties will include planning and activation of PR programs and campaigns, market research, generating/pitching new ideas and PR opportunities, 2012 rookie and draft PR, general PR for veteran clients, editing of athlete Facebook fan pages, updating media lists, updating athlete bios, assisting with events and event public relations, as well as general office duties and administrative services.
The position can be located in our NYC, Washington DC or Atlanta office. Ideally, we would like you to start at the end of August/beginning of September and work for at least 20 hours per week . In order to be considered for this unpaid internship, you must be able to receive school credit and provide proof of credit.
REQUIREMENTS :
- Must receive college credit (no exceptions)
- Preferably pursuing a degree in Communications or Public Relations
- Polished communication skills, both written and oral
- Previous experience with PR is a must
- Event management experience is desired
- Extremely organized and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong ability to work as part of a team, demonstrate initiative, and solve problems independently
- Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Internet
