Spring Training Internships
The Boston Red Sox Florida Operations will offer numerous internships during the 2013 Spring Training season at JetBlue Park located in Fort Myers, Florida.
The Boston Red Sox Internship program will provide a great opportunity for interns looking to immerse themselves in a full service sports and entertainment venue. The Red Sox are looking for dedicated individuals who are enthusiastic and possess a good skill set to handle day-to-day operational tasks and create a positive, fun-filled environment for our fans, staff and sponsors.
Examples of Responsibilities (all interns):
- Assist with Opening Day ticket sales.
- Assist Fenway Sports Management and Red Sox Destinations with all events such as Red Sox Fantasy Camp and Destinations picnics/events during Spring Training.
- Assist in the coordination and execution of yearly Public Affairs and Charitable Giving Campaigns, such as the Children’s Hospital Golf Tournament, Diamond Dinner and the Lee County Boys and Girls Club, “Evening with the Red Sox” event.
- Assist Manager of Florida Operations in selling premium seats and group tickets to Spring Training games.
- Set up and breakdown during all Spring Training home games.
- Assist with development and execution of Game Day promotions.
- Assist Director of Florida Operations with preparation and execution of promotional events, such as the annual Open House event.
- Liaison for corporate sponsors, both local and national during Spring Training games.
- Transportation to and from airports/hotels for Red Sox personnel.
Interns will be hired in the following departments with daily work focused within these areas:
- Stadium Operations
- Public Affairs / Game Day Operations
- General Marketing (Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop proficiency required)
- Administrative / Environmental
- Corporate Partnerships / Client Services
Requirements:
- Highly organized with the ability to multitask and be a self-starter.
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs.
- Strong work ethic
- College Credit available, if needed for graduation, but not a requirement.
o Must be Junior year or greater to apply
- Must be able to relocate to Fort Myers and be able to provide own housing and transportation.
