Fall 2012 Communications Internship

Office of Communications

The Office of Communications offers internships throughout the year to undergraduate and graduate students majoring in mass communications, public relations, journalism, or a related subject. These internships offer the challenge of assisting in the day-to-day activities of a busy communications office.

Duties include responding to telephone and written inquiries from the general public as well as media, government, academic, and other organizations in the U.S. and abroad; assisting the media in contacting Brookings scholars for stories or interviews; assisting in coordinating and staffing outreach events such as press conferences, forums, and policy roundtables; updating press lists; and completing other office duties as assigned. All internships are unpaid.
