The Public Relations Intern supports J Brand’s PR team by providing administrative support, perform data entry and other administrative functions to keep department organized and efficient according to J Brand’s standards. The duties listed portray in general terms the type and level of work performed and are not intended to be all inclusive, nor the duties of any one incumbent.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities:
- Maintain the dedicated PR sample closet containing inventory of fashion samples in an updated and orderly manner in to create efficiency when needing to send samples out for delivery.
- Using a computer, perform data entry to create up to date and historical inventory database that tracks the order fulfillment requests, shipping and press samples to agencies.
- Support the PR department in processing and shipping press sample requests to agencies.
- File press clippings and tear sheets received from various sources as directed.
- Look up J Brand’s celebrity licensing database and monitor for any content that may need re-licensing, communicate to appropriate personnel in timely manner, and obtain approval for any renewals. Keep database current according to actions taken and schedule timely follow up. Any expired non-renewed images must be recorded and discarded appropriately.
- Assist department in organizing press collateral as needed for projects.
- Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships and demeanor at all times. Treat coworkers and members of management with courtesy and respect at all times.
- Filing, faxing and other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
- 1 year internship experience preferred; AND
- Minimum of an Associate Degree from college or university.
- Proficient with Mac OSX
- MS Office Suite (emphasis on Excel and Outlook)
- Photoshop and Powerpoint experience a plus, not necessary
