FALL 2012 INTERNSHIPS -STYLE RESEARCH
E! Style and G4 TV – Los Angeles, CA
Intern Responsibilities:
Support the Style Research team, with a focus on Program, Digital and Primary based Research
The Style Network program research intern will work with the research team in pulling ratings (Nielsen) and online stats (Omniture, comScore) to create insightful analyses from raw data, as well as track the performances of our shows such as Jerseylicious, Giuliana & Bill and Tia & Tamera across TV and Online.
Supporting the research team’s primary research initiatives including focus groups and surveys
Filing primary projects as well as a second pair of eyes reviewing QXS, online QXS and creative question brainstorming
Collaborate in creating research to support Style management, programming & development, press & publicity, marketing & finance
Basic Qualifications:
A passion and interest in learning more about TV Research and New Mediain the Entertainment Industry
Strong research and analytical skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is critical .
Desired Qualifications:
Avid TV watcher
Ability to use and develop complex spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel
Previous work experience in an office environment
Knowledge of Nielsen systems (Star Trak, NPower, Arianna, Galaxy Explorer) and Social Networking is a plus
Previous internship experience in the entertainment industry is a plus
Prefer students who are majoring in Economics, Finance or Marketing
Requirements
In pursuit of an Associate or Bachelor degree at an Accredited Institution.
Current class standing of Junior or above
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
Must be 18 years of age or older
Authorized to participate in an unpaid internship in the U.S
Eligible to receive academic credit
These internship positions are unpaid and, therefore, require students to receive academic credit for the internship
