Ginger Snap Works, LLC is a social media consultancy, training and management firm. We clean up “Social Media Pollution” by connecting the right audiences with the right messages on the right platforms to maximize results for our clients. We have a committed and energetic team of communication experts and we hope to find interns who will be enthusiastic about our mission and eager to learn new skills.
Position responsibilities may include:
- Contribute to website redesign project.
- Monitor and post on blogs, forums, and social networks.
- Operate project schedules.
- Perform online research and media list creations.
- Online outreach and promotion using Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and more.
- Analytic research and social media platform management, creating client reports.
- Contact Social Media leads about our services through pitches and cold calls.
- Build strong relationships and create value for clients and themselves.
- Prepare weekly reports and give status updates to Supervisor.
- Help with public relations, copywriting, client follow-up, and other events that may become a priority.
- Communicate to Supervisor or takes other appropriate actions if there are breakdowns in communication that require authority.
- Follows all assigned tasks through to completion.
Traits of the right person:
Public Relations/Social Media interns will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement upon hire and will be involved with the handling, creation & development of confidential material.

- Detail-oriented, organized, & deadline responsive
- Computer & social media savvy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- High work ethic, unquestionable integrity, & honesty
Commitment & Compensation:
Internships are unpaid positions: however, may be worth credit hours through your college or university programs.
Minimum 20 hrs / wk. Responsibilities can be scaled appropriately if you are looking for a less intense full-time internship opportunity. MUST HAVE PERSONAL COMPUTER, PERSONAL PHONE, AND ACCESS TO INTERNET
Technology requirements:
Public Relations/Social Media Interns will be required to communicate with GSW staff, and complete weekly conference calls and reviews as required by your schools internship course.
- E-mail (for communication with other employees, customers, & clients)
- Google Docs (for organizing tasks and information)
- Social Media Platforms: Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, LinkedIn, Pinterest, WordPress.
