Purple! Magazine, ECU’s new sports magazine, is looking for a hard-working student with
feature writing skills and an interest in covering ECU athletics for the spring 2013 semester
(starting at the end of August).
The responsibilities include:
• Assist in creating text/copy for magazine, including research, interviews, and writing
• Assist with maintaining the magazine’s web site and social media sites
• Assist with photography and possibly videography
• Assist with the magazine’s promotional endeavors
Interns will receive media passes for access to the press box during football games and
other major sporting events. To cover football games and potentially other games, some
weekend work is needed. The types of topics/sections interns may be responsible for in
clude: sports briefs, club sports and campus rec, and spirit & tradition (band, dance, and
cheerleading). The opportunity to publish a feature story may also be possible.
