writers needed for website that covers the Cleveland Indians

Dear Faculty, Staff and Students,

I currently help run and write for, Did The Tribe Win Last Night (www.didthetribewinlastnight.com), a site dedicated to covering the Cleveland Indians 365 days a year. We launched our site on July 1, 2011, and have already posted over 1,600 stories about the Cleveland Indians and their minor league teams.  Both our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/didtribewin) and our Twitter handle (@didtribewin) have had great success.

Because of our success we are looking for a couple additional, dedicated writers to add to our site staff. During the 2012 season, we tried to chronicle the year from every angle, including game previews, stories, columns, views and analysis. We are credentialed for some home games by the Indians. We have a full season credential for all of the Indians’ minor league affiliates, including the Carolina Mudcats. Our goal for the 2013 season is to emerge as a unique blog, dedicated to daily Tribe coverage, everyday.

We are currently looking for 1-2 knowledgeable writers, interested in covering the Carolina Mudcats and their prospects. The Mudcats will have several top Indians prospects on their roster in 2013. Their Baseball Information Director, Darren Headrick, is very willing to work with us. It is our hope to find a quality aspiring sports journalist who would like the opportunity to cover the Mudcats a couple times a week.  We think this is an excellent opportunity for a writer interested in baseball and looking for experience. We have worked with schools in creating internship opportunities and would love to do so again.

Feel free to pass this along to anyone you think would appreciate the opportunity. Interested writers should include a resume and writing samples.

Sincerely,

Mike Brandyberry
