Extreme Promotions is looking for a qualified intern to join our sales and marketing team. Our sales and marketing department markets and promotes our current events and sales sponsorships to companies that could benefit from being a sponsor. Extreme Promotions seeks an intern who can participate in various stages of marketing campaigns and the sponsorship sales process. This intern should be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of sales and marketing. A majority of the work can be completed in the comfort of the intern’s home, apartment, or dorm as the only required tools are a computer, internet, and a phone for the online portion of the internship. In person training and job shadowing will take place throughout Eastern NC but primarily in Goldsboro NC. This internship is available for the Spring and Summer semesters of 2013. If intern excels in their performance possible job offers may be submitted to the student upon graduation. Interns will enjoy commissions from any sponsorship sales that they aide in developing and a portion of revenues generated from their marketing efforts.
Responsibilities
• Assist in the creation of signage, circulars, mock ups, e-mail campaigns, on line promotion, etc.
• Assist in the distribution or delivery of marketing materials
• Assist with fulfillment of marketing offers
• Assist with execution of trade shows
• Assist with the preparation and delivery of training materials
• Perform analysis of marketing and sales data
• Seek and analyze competitor marketing and sales materials both on and offline
• Prepare presentations
• Enter contact information into contact management systems
• Provide support to social media efforts
• Maintain tracking report of public relations activity
• Make phone calls and send emails to potential sponsors
• Visit in person with potential sponsors
• Follow up with existing sponsors to demonstrate the value they are receiving from our event marketing efforts and ensure they are happy with the results
Requirements: Company is looking for an undergraduate student in the Eastern North Carolina area who is majoring in Sales, Marketing or Advertising. This person should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with extensive knowledge of Web, social media, and graphic design. PowerPoint, Word and Excel experience is a bonus, and will be considered when choosing the best applicant for this internship position.
