SoulPancake needs interns!
We like people who know how to hustle (and if you know how to do the hustle, that’s even better). We’ve decked out our office with melted crayons, chartreuse filing cabinets, and neon zipties. We are looking for smart, friendly, hard-working people to help us around the SoulPancake office. Interns must be students, currently enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited university. Interns should be able to commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week, and up to 20 hours, for a minimum of 3 months. Internships are unpaid, but spaces are limited. Only hands-on, committed candidates will be considered.

MARKETING, SOCIAL MEDIA, & CONTENT CURATION INTERN
Responsibilities:
* Support director of sales and marketing in executing SoulPancake’s overall marketing vision
* Continually find, group, sort, organize, and share the best and most relevant content across the internet that aligns with SoulPancake’s mission and aesthetic
* Build and maintain local and national media contact lists
* Provide support to SP.com content director and YouTube channel manager
* Work with channel manager to build database of influential blogs across various categories
* Develop themed, curated playlists of video content for YouTube
* Reach out to bloggers and websites to get SoulPancake videos features
* Track and document media coverage, website, and YouTube channel content and comments on a daily basis
* Generate or find quick-response videos/playlists for timely events and headlines
* Create original content (i.e. commentary, opinions, headlines) to supplement curated material
* Update ‘News & Announcements’ section on SoulPancake.com on a regular basis
* Create marketing materials for email campaigns, etc.
* Maintain and grow SoulPancake’s presence on various social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Instagram, Pinterest, VYou, and Reddit
* Perform basic administrative duties, including phone, mailing, errands
Skills:
* Solid writing and communication skills
* Ability to work quickly and on deadline
* Interest or background in marketing, PR, and/or social media
* Experience or interest in journalism, researching and writing compelling stories about people and events
* Understanding of grassroots/word-of-mouth marketing
* Strong online search and research skills
* Ability to find new sources of content across blogs, websites, and other curation sites
* Ability to read and understand monthly website statistics, such as through Google Analytics
* Strong multitasking, organizational and time management skills

* Research brands/advertisers to develop the prospect pipeline

* Assist with proposals and documentation to present to potential clients and agencies
* Setting up meetings and phone conversations for the business development team Update sales contact databases and client marketing materials

* Maintain updated profiles and show descriptions on YouTube
* Assist marketing team in blog outreach
* Actively participate in, initiate, and moderate community conversations on SoulPancake.com and YouTube
* Compile online comments and feedback for various show runners
* Monitor YouTube analytics to ensure video content
* Research potential video collaborations and partnerships for SoulPancake’s YouTube channel
* Research and implement best online community practices and trends

* Photograph and illustrate for various projects
* Assist the creative team on day-to-day basis
* Perform basic administrative duties, including phone, mailing, errands
Skills:
* Strong graphic design and typography skills
* Solid eye for detail and composition
* Ability to sketch and execute ideas quickly
* Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
* HTML/CSS experience a plus

Responsibilities:
* Organize and maintain online video assets
* Manage camera/video storage and usage
* Assist editors with video editing workflow
* Online/mastering support of web series
* Manage music library
* Participate in brainstorming sessions with editors and directors
* Support the delivery and clearances of all video content

Skills:
