If so, Greater Chicago Food Depository, a premier, nonprofit food distribution and training center is seeking a Communications Intern. This internship will be part time beginning in May 2013 and ending in August 2013.
Responsibilities:
- Assists with the collection of stories from clients, partners, donors and volunteers
- Implements a process for sharing and archiving stories
- Takes photos to accompany stories
- Writes editorial content for publications, website and blog
- Makes routine web and social media updates
- Provides on-site support for events
- Assembles marketing materials, as needed
Qualifications:
- College student in journalism, communications or a related field
- Strong interviewing and writing skills
- Proficiency in AP style
- Experience in making website and social media updates for organization or business
- Available May-August 2013
