Public Relations Senior Account Executive
Emerging Media is looking for a Senior Account Executive (SAE) who can work in our fast paced agency and will thrive on creativity and high standards of excellence. The ideal candidate will be a passionate and relentless advocate for our clients with the press, industry influencers and their target audiences, and have unrelenting drive to create incredible connections. As a SAE you will be at the forefront of Emerging Media’s award-winning social, branding, marketing and PR efforts, bringing your ideas to the table and your tenacity to get breakthrough results for our clients.

General Expectations
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant PR, social media or marketing experience with a concentration in media relations
- Proven track record developing and executing successful editorial and social media programs.
- Meet established media metrics by securing consistent, high-quality coverage on behalf of clients in targeted business, trade and vertical publications, along with appropriate social media and broadcast outlets.
- Help the Agency grow its reputation by participating in media, new business and networking opportunities.
Social Media
- Keeping abreast of trends and opportunities to get our clients noticed
- Design and execute social media strategies for B2B and B2C clients and integrate them into client PR Programs
- Provide recommendations and counsel clients on the appropriate application of social media tools and strategies.
Media Relations
- Network and form relationships with reporters, editors, producers, bloggers and other social influencers in order to secure quality coverage for clients
- Schedule a minimum of 1 media networking meeting per quarter with key targets
- Pitch and manage the execution of editorial calendar opportunities in tandem with AEs and ACs;
- Facilitate meetings and conference calls for press/analyst tours and tradeshows
- Media train and prep clients for interviews
- Manage and support the development of media relations skills in junior staff
- Develop PR strategies, plans and campaign timelines, with a focus on the media components of proposed strategies and tactics
Writing
- Press releases, media kit materials, executive bios, bylines, case studies
- Provide guidance to junior staff on the development of written documents
New Business Development
- Assist in the development of new business presentations
- Develop compelling pitch angles
- Make media recommendations
- Audit existing media landscape and prospect/competitor share of voice
- Identify potential editorial opportunities
- Contribute to discussions around editorial targets, campaign ideas and pitch angles in new business meetings
Preferred Qualifications:
- PR agency /Media relations experience
- Mac OS X proficiency / Fluent in MS Office Suite
- HTML / page design knowledge (Facebook/Twitter)
- Previous internships and demonstrable moxie
