Brand Marketing Research Intern (Summer) AOL – New York, NY Internship

 

AOL’s Brand Marketing and Communications team acts as an in-house full service marketing and PR agency for AOL’s top brands including AOL.com, AOL Autos, Autoblog, Moviefone, Engadget, TechCrunch, StyleList, KitchenDaily, Huffington Post and Patch. You’ll see the team’s work live at events like SXSW, Comicon, NY Food & Wine Festival as well as across the web and industry publications.

The Brand Marketing Research Intern will work directly with the brand and marketing leadership team with the objective of utilizing consumer and industry research to develop strategic direction. A successful applicant will be able to source and analyze web data and consumer trends to be utilized by marketing, product and sales groups.

What you’ll be up to:
•Research and present consumer trends and current ideas
•Find information and research to validate assumptions for industry thought leadership
•Attend a number of conferences identified to determine industry trends
•Help research interesting advertising, mobile, social and local ideas
•Create sales communication and collateral to empower the sales team
•Identify top conferences for each category AOL is investing in
•Learn how a marketing team functions within a digital media company

Requirements for Success:
•PR/Marketing Major preferred
•Research instincts
•Social Media Savvy
•Great Presentation Skills
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
•Goal oriented self-starter
•Interest and background knowledge of the AOL Brand family
•Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university •Previous internship experience in PR, Marketing, Brand Management or Media Buying
