YourTango.com, an online magazine about love and relationships for women that receives 6 million unique visitors a month, is seeking a digital editorial and marketing intern to help grow its online audience.
All work will be done remotely during week day business hours and intern will need access to his/her own computer and Internet in order to complete the internship.
Duties Include:
-Help optimize YourTango.com’s content for search engine rankings by creating internal and external article links
Assist in optimizing traffic YourTango.com sends to and receives from partner sites, such as Yahoo! Shine, Huffington Post, The Daily Beast, and more
-Create and format photo galleries and other content on YourTango.com
-Help list site Experts in Google places for search
-Interns with previous journalism or writing skills may also contribute and write articles
-Updating spreadsheets and assisting the Audience Development Manager with organizational tasks
Required Skills & Experience:
Seeking someone who’s excited to learn about the digital media business and help grow our brand!
Ideally a Marketing or Communications student, or a Journalism student with strong web skills
Must be an avid social media user (ie Facebook, Yourtube, Digg, Pinterest, etc.)
Must be highly analytical and feel comfortable using Excel and other data analyzing software
Commitment:
This internship is a 4 month commitment of at least 20 hours a week. Stipend included upon successful completion of internship. YourTango offers either college credit or a stipend of $500 for 4-5 months part time.
