The Institute of Outdoor Drama, the S. Rudolph Alexander Performing Arts Series, Family Fare and the Arts Smart series have since joined the CFAC family.
The challenge: The College is currently redesigning its website. The current website is static, used mainly to pass through to the programs and schools housed within the college. - Creating and maintaining a college-level Facebook and Twitter account (including the research and creation of content, both written and visual),
- Researching and preparing content for the website (written and visual),
- Working with the College staff to maximize efforts with other social outlets such as Localist and Constant Contact,
- Establishing and exponentially increasing the number of followers on Facebook and Twitter,
- Adding events to sites as requested,
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Work schedule: The work schedule is flexible. The ideal candidate will commit to a weekly schedule with a minimum of ten hours per week, with an in-office presence throughout the majority of the week.
Skills desired: Superior organization skills and ownership of the project is a must, as are exemplary skills in writing for media. Accuracy and integrity are integral to the success of the project. Experience with video production and/or photography, plus a working knowledge of Commonspot, InDesign, Photoshop, Localist, and/or editing software are desired. Excellent writing skills and a fluent understanding of social media is the essence of this position.
Desired area of study: Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Media Writing, Media Production, Technical Writing, Marketing
Compensation: The successful candidate receives significant appreciation, unofficial rock star status and membership on Team CFAC. Note that the college frequently hires successful interns.
