SUMMARY

Provide direct support to the Operations Department for all program-related functions. Work directly with National Governing Bodies (NGBs) to coordinate camps and clinics at the Olympic Training Center (OTC). Assist with events at the OTC and aid with program logistics of short-term programs. Day-to-day interaction with resident athletes and OTC guests, including the registration of all users of the CSOTC, and direct contact with other OTC divisions (dining services, transportation, venues, etc).

Our internship offers an intern the opportunity to gain experience with logistics and event planning experience. This coming fall, we will host coaching education programming, athlete training camps, and large scale events at the OTC, all of which our Operations intern will be included in and experience first-hand.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Functions include but are not limited to the following:

1. Support Operations Coordinators, Operations Manager, and Site Director with day to day Operations of department through the development of CSOTC approved programs: assist with all aspects of roster and training schedule development, checking forms, and assisting program contact with any of their requests in planning training programs. Will independently coordinate a minimum of one (1) program each month of internship.

2. Work directly with the Event’s Department within Operations, to help streamline check-in procedures and paperwork during events taking place on-site at the OTC.

3. Assist in presentation at weekly review/preview programs meeting.

4. Attend weekly and bi-weekly department and division meetings and participate as part of the Operations Team.

5. Aid Operations Manager with: facility (dorm) inspections, inventory, data entry, communicating with intern class each semester, as well as perform other duties as assigned.

CONDITIONS:

Office environment in multi-story building on multi-building site

Required Experience QUALILFICATIONS:

  • Educational Requirements: Enrolled in a Bachelor degree program at the junior or senior level status or enrolled in a Master degree program.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point & Outlook.
  • Passion for sport and the Ideals of the Olympic Movement
  • Sport experience preferred (i.e., active in competitive/intramural sports).
  • Must be eligible to work in the USA.
  • Excellent communication and human relations skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in fast paced multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Willingness to participate in the full Intern Program
