Business Administration/Purchasing Fall Intern – Tampa Bay Buccaneers National Football League – Tampa, FL

The Business Administration / Purchasing Internship provides hands on training to students by instructing them in the day-to-day operations of purchasing, office inventory, vendor negotiations and contracts. The Business Administration / Purchasing Intern will act as a liaison between pewter partners, vendors and members of the organization to assist in negotiating contractual arrangements, processing orders and monitoring contracts. Other areas of training include the quote and bid process, monitoring and maintaining business operations office supplies inventory as well as purchase order tracking logs.

The Business Administration / Purchasing Intern will be responsible to:
• Assist in tracking and summarizing all quotes and bids in process.
• Coordinate, track and monitoring the progress of contracts.
• Assist in negotiating non-complex contractual arrangements with vendors and processing orders and tracking basic contracts.
• Develop and maintain a detailed vendor list.
• Liaison with all other internal departments to monitor and fulfill purchasing requests.
• Monitor and maintain business operations office supplies inventory; order supplies and follow through on delivery upon receipt.
• Monitor and maintain purchase order tracking logs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate should have:
• The ability to receive academic credit for the internship
• Current enrollment in an accredited College or University preferably obtaining a degree in Sports Management, Accounting, Marketing or a related field
• Housing available in the Tampa Bay area
• The ability to work long and flexible hours during the work week and Buccaneers home football games and Buccaneers events
• Proficiency in MS Office products (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook)
• An outgoing personality and a professional demeanor
