Qualifications: – Major in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or Marketing
– Desire to learn and understand the field of public relations
– Strong written and oral communication skills are a must
– Ability to multitask
– Flexibility with tasks assigned
– Willingness to step in and help when needs arise

Duties: Please Note: Students @ Work Internships Program dates are 9/23 – 11/29. Interns are paid at minimum-wage and relocation is not provided. Students must have completed their sophomore year in college prior to the start of the internship. In addition, students may not have graduated college or graduate school prior to the start of the internship (i.e. STUDENTS MUST BE ENROLLED IN SCHOOL DURING THE TIME OF THIS INTERNSHIP). Students seeking college credit are strongly encouraged to apply. Note to International Students: All international students will be required to provide documentation of proper visa paperwork prior to your arrival if accepted to the program.

Due to the high volume of candidates for Turner’s Internship Program, interested students are encouraged to apply for openings as soon as possible, as these positions will be filled on an ongoing basis. Future semester Internship postings will also be available after the prior semester internships are no longer posted on the website.

1. To develop and cultivate PR practitioner skills by observing and contributing to the Publicity campaigns surrounding TBS, TNT, TCM, and truTV programming and marketing initiatives

2. To gain understanding of the business world and how PR plays a part in day-to-day activities of an entertainment company by attending meetings and researching as requested.

3. Became familiar with the process of developing and executing a PR campaign, specifically, creating press kits and writing press materials, as well as updating media lists and researching new outlets.

4. Strengthen research skills by assisting in preliminary research stages of campaign planning, helping to identify unique angles and background information that may be useful in execution of the campaign.

5. General administrative duties as assigned.
