Do you love college football? Enjoy writing? Then we have an opportunity for you!
As part of this year’s Liberty Mutual Coach of the Year Award program, we’re looking for talented writers at schools across the country to profile their head coaches and football programs. The articles must explore the ways in which your school’s coach embodies the four pillars of the Liberty Mutual Coach of the Year Award – Responsibility, Integrity, Sportsmanship and Excellence. All articles will be published at CoachOfTheYear.com, the Coach of the Year (COTY) Facebook page, and other college football media channels.
Details:
- Write and file three (3) articles during the college football season on how your school’s football coach represents COTY values (Responsibility, Integrity, Sportsmanship, Excellence)
- Articles should be approximately 500 words
- Each story must cover your coach from a different angle:
- Coach profile
- Player perspective
- Community impact
- Video packages and photography are welcome, though not required
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree (all degrees welcome)
- Strong interest and knowledge of college football
- Excellent writing skills (writing sample required)
- Access to the football program (please describe your access to the team in your application)
Compensation:
- $250 for three 500-word stories
- Bonuses paid for articles that generate the most web traffic, likes
