The Fillmore Silver Spring is in search of a highly
motivated, organized and most importantly, enthusiastic
individual who is interested in working within the heart
of the live entertainment industry. At the Fillmore, we
have opportunities for you to develop skills in VIP
services and corporate sales. Our interns gain valuable,
real-world experience in the live entertainment
industry. Each position reports to each respective
department’s managers.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Masters degree at
an accredited university
- Must be eligible to receive course credit
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Must have ability to think quickly and creatively
- Must work well in both independently and in a team
environment
- Must have the ability to handle sensitive client
information
- Eager to learn and be proactive with new tasks
- Must be able to handle a fast-paced environment with
good humor and exceptional customer service
- Must be punctual, organized and detail oriented
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent phone demeanor, written and oral
communication skills
- Internet savvy, proficient with using the Internet
as a research tool
- Reliable transportation
- Prior customer service experience
- Flexible schedule to work during necessary events
- Computer knowledge (Word, Excel, Power Point) is a
must!
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
VIP Services/Corporate Sales
- Assisting sales staff as needed (including show
days)
- Communicating with and coordinating venue VIP
clients
- Assisting with recruitment of VIP clients
- Coordinating ticket orders, tracking and mailings
- Social media and internet research
- Grassroots and creative marketing efforts
- Administrative duties/organizing/filing
- Data entry and database maintenance
- Please note that all interns will be asked to assist
with other departments as necessary throughout
internship.
HOURS
This position is unpaid and requires 10-20 dedicated
hours per week. These 10-20 hours can be completed
Monday through Friday between 11 a.m. – 6 p.m., with
opportunities to work later/weekend hours during events.
We are flexible and can work with your class schedule.
