Olson NYC is looking for candidates available for a 3-4 month internship starting as soon as possible. Olson is hiring interns to assist our account teams in the development and execution of multi-platform integrated marketing and public relations programs for our client’s brand. We are looking for interns with a good work ethic, strong intellectual curiosity and a desire to work hard and have fun in a growing office.
Essential Functions:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Assist Public Relations team in developing, writing, and distributing media materials and pitches
• Build comprehensive and carefully planned media lists
• Actively pitch and secure media coverage on behalf of clients
• Assist Brand Engagement team in research, conception and execution of content marketing, social marketing, promotional events, and brand partnerships
• Monitor all news outlets for client opportunities
• Assist with and manage client and target market research
• Research trends and seek opportunities where our clients may find increased visibility and engagement opportunities
• Track clients’ media coverage
• Collaborate with the PR team and all disciplines within the agency to produce effective and results-oriented campaigns
• Assist in preparation of campaign proposals and budgets
• Build and nurture productive business relationships
• Effectively and efficiently leverage PR tools, including Burrelles, Cision, PR Newswire
• Proactively develop ideas to support account teams and client needs

Education & Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in public relations, mass communications, entertainment, journalism or marketing.
• Public Relations, Marketing or Promotions experience preferred
• Previous agency experience, including internships, desired
