Please Note: Internships are paid at minimum-wage and structured to last approximately 12 weeks. Course Credit is available. Resume and Cover Letter are required. Students should have a strong academic record (3.0 strongly preferred). Students must have completed their sophomore year in college prior to the start of the internship. In addition, students may not have graduated college prior to the start of the internship (i.e. students MUST be enrolled in school during the time of the internship). Students seeking college credit are strongly encouraged to apply. Note to International Students: All international students will be required to provide documentation of proper visa paperwork prior to your arrival if accepted to the program. Due to the high volume of candidates for Turner’s Internship Program, interested students are encouraged to apply for openings as soon as possible, as these positions will be filled on an ongoing basis. Future semester Internship postings will be available after the current semester deadline.

Position Description:
The Cartoon Network Studios Operations department is seeking a motivated intern to gain an understanding of the daily needs as well as the long term planning for facility management and operations involved in a major Studio. Intern will assist in a variety of projects within the department on a multitude of assignments which include but are not limited to facilities services and project management. Student will be exposed to both the administrative and facilities duties of our buildings, including repair projects and reviewing best practices on conducting safety inspections for code compliance. Will provide support with scheduling, organizing, and setting up events. In addition, will assist with filing, scanning, and scheduling calls. There will also be the opportunity to participate in meetings about the planning and implementing of specific facility projects including renovations. During the internship, student will learn to follow proper office procedures, phone protocol, operational record keeping, and other paperwork procedures commonly used in the daily function of the department.

Special projects may be assigned. Candidate will also have the opportunity to participate in several internship workshops.

Qualifications:
In order to facilitate the learning experience, the following qualifications are preferred: Should be able to commit to 12 weeks of the internship and be able to work 15-20 hours per week. Qualified candidates should have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and have completed their sophomore year in college prior to the start of the internship. Students must be in an undergraduate program in one of the following concentrations: Integrated Facilities Management, Construction Management or Business Administration. The qualified student should be proficient in Microsoft Office products. Ideal candidates should be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and display a strong organization and communication skills.
Course credit is optional. Should be self-motivated, ability to work in a team environment and multi-task, have a good attitude, and be able to function well in an environment with short deadlines and quick turnaround projects.
