SUMMARY
This is a great opportunity to learn the community side of working in professional sports. In this role, you will gain experience in developing community impact initiatives including working with the Miami Dolphins Special Teams program and understanding how government plays a role in professional sports.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Maintain local business chamber database and event calendar.
• Develop plans to implement strategic objectives.
• Conduct the related research effectively.
• Prepare reports, analysis and/or presentations for management.
• Assist with volunteer database management.
• Log volunteer service hours.
• Help to create, coordinate, and/or manage volunteer service events like Dolphins Games, Dolphins Cycling Challenge, Susan G. Komen, beautification projects, and Miami Dolphins Foundation fundraising events.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management/Business, or other related field.
• Professional appearance, attire and demeanor.
• Team player with strong organization and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
• Must adhere to all principles of confidentiality.
• Show initiative, good judgment in the required field and resourcefulness.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced knowledge in Excel), including Access and Outlook.
