The Carolina Hurricanes are currently seeking qualified interns for the Hurricanes 2013-2014 season with the in-house video production department, CanesVision.

CanesVision strives to bring the benefits and excitement of hockey to all ages and fans, through a wide range of video and graphics production. The department is an award winning, fully-functional production house designed to provide the best entertainment for our fan base. The department also works very closely with NC State Wolfpack Basketball, providing turn-key video and graphics production for all home games at PNC Arena.

Intern Responsibilities:
• During the season, keep 15-20 office hours a week and work a minimum of 5 events per month, with evening and weekend availability required.
• Take direction from CanesVision Staff and fulfill tasks as needed: including, but not limited to: logging footage, lighting setups, filming, editing, duplicating footage, etc.
• Able to be a team player, but also work independently to accomplish tasks.

Qualifications:
• Must be a fast learner and able to adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing, deadline-driven work environment.
• Must be tech-savvy and comfortable with both Mac and PC platforms.
• Must have basic skills in Adobe Photoshop, After Effects and Illustrator.
• Non-linear editing (NLE) skills preferred (Final Cut Pro 7, Adobe Premiere).
• Experience working within a video production and or graphic department preferred.
• Knowledge of the Carolina Hurricanes and NC State Basketball is preferred.
• Must possess excellent writing, customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Able to lift/carry up to 35 lbs. moderate distances.

Note: The internship is unpaid, with the exception of possible game night positions. Interns can receive college course credit for their work. Internships with CanesVision do not guarantee full-time employment upon completion.
