Summary of Position

National Geographic’s International Home Entertainment division is looking for an intern for the fall of 2013 semester. This Marketing & Design internship is regarded as an opportunity to learn and gain valuable exposure to related businesses within National Geographic. This intern will learn about product distribution and creative marketing processes in a global home entertainment environment.

Responsibilities

– Intern will learn how to create and design program key art and metadata for releases on digital platforms such as iTunes.

– Intern will gain full understanding of the process for preparing and delivering program assets to licensees and tracking materials.

– Intern will have the opportunity to learn how to create and update the international home entertainment programming catalogs and databases.

– Intern will learn about research resources, database management, and standard business and office practices. Participate in intern events at National Geographic when available.

Minimum Education & Experience

Must be enrolled in a degree program in Marketing, Business, or related field. Applicants entering their junior or senior year preferred. Interest in international business a plus.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements

Candidates must be enthusiastic and detail-oriented. Experience with Adobe Photoshop a huge plus. Student should also be Comfortable using Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Additional Important Info.

Successful candidate must arrange to receive college credit from their college or university. The dates of the internship will correspond with the fall semester (September thru December).
