About the Internship Program:
Over a twelve week period students become a contributing member of the team working on meaningful projects that provide an opportunity to build their resume and have measurable success on key deliverables. Each student is paired with a Supervisor and Mentor to guide their professional development through the summer. In addition to exposure within their department, students will have ongoing lunch and learns, community and social events to learn more about Premier, the healthcare industry and the Charlotte area.
Responsibilities:
The summer intern position would support the Program Management Office (the PMO is part of the IT group) with general project administration, developing a process center of excellence around a lean agile solution delivery methodology and in planning and executing a training plan to roll out new enterprise-wide processes.
Duties would include:
- Work with stakeholders to collate processes per discipline and plan reviews of material before broader circulation
- Assist with build out of Sharepoint-based PMO dashboard site providing easy to access project status information
- Generally assist in the work of the PMO department in support of other Informatics & Technology project initiatives.
Requested Skills:
- Pursuing Bachelors in Business Admin or MBA (all concentrations). Rising Junior or Senior preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office to include MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Visio
- Basic knowledge of MS Sharepoint
- Working knowledge of the Agile/Scrum software development process.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Candidates must be currently enrolled in an accredited four year college program in order to be eligible for an internship.
- This role has potential for conversion into a full-time position upon successful completion of the internship and graduation.
