Big Nerd Ranch seeks a super smart, tech-savvy intern for a challenging 6-9 month internship (part-time) in its PR & Marketing department. Are you studying PR, marketing or another communications field? Or, do you have a strong interest and a bit of relevant work experience?
Our ideal candidate will be:
- Studying PR, marketing or communications, or have a strong interest and some relevant experience
- A strong writer proficient in varied storytelling styles for web, print and social media
- Comfortable with using social media and its tools
- Curious, able to ask questions and accepting of feedback
- Tech savvy (we are predominantly an Apple office) with some video editing experience (iMovie, FinalCut or other. Not mandatory but preferred.)
The job responsibilities include but are in no way limited to:
- Daily tracking of Big Nerd Ranch and key competitors
- Conference curation and sponsorship fulfillment
- Newsletter distribution
- Blog management and contributions
- Production and logistics of events
- Writing (posts, blogs, news releases, flyers, feature stories)
