Coordinate all elements of marketing and promotion campaigns for rental events and institution
- Communicates with outside advertising agencies on on-going campaigns. Writes and prepares copy for print/radio/TV spots. Places advertising for event marketing.
- Oversee and coordinate the subscription campaign for Broadway at the National
- Support marketing and promotion of client events as necessary
- Create and implement marketing plans for the National Theatre and its events
- Coordinates promotions and special events with event promoters and facility personnel.
- Assists with public relations activities.
- Handles press-related duties during events.
- Prepares and disseminates company event and press releases.
- Manages, develops, produces and distributes promotional and collateral materials to support sales and marketing programs.
- Assist the General Manager with sponsorships.
- Maintains, at all times, high standards, positive attitude, and professional appearance.
- Plans and conducts market research to identify opportunities for increased sales.
- Provides post-event reports, analysis, and regular status reports on marketing programs.
- Works within the guidelines set forth by SMG.
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications Well-versed in the Washington D.C. market and theater/entertainment industries
- Seasoned marketing professional
- Knowledge of box office systems and scaling/seating is preferred but not mandatory
- Able to effectively work under pressure on multiple projects simultaneously, while meeting tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both written and orally
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with tour operators, hospitality and tourism officials, civic and professional organizations
- Ability to prepare effective reports
- Demonstrate high level of energy and self-motivation to work effectively and enthusiastically with co-workers with a wide-range of personalities
- Strong knowledge of and demonstrated ability in Microsoft Office Suite and current sales software
- Ability to work long, irregular hours as dictated by programming
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university, in sports and entertainment, marketing, public relations, mass communications or related field.
Previous experience/internship in Sales and Marketing or related industry experience preferred.
