JAM is a trusted advisor to major sports leagues, player’s associations, professional athletes and their families. JAM has worked with some of the most elite and prominent athletes and entertainers in the world, including Michael Jordan, Jamie Foxx, Tiger Woods, Ray Lewis, Emmitt Smith, Eric Dickerson, Marcus Allen, Terrell Owens, Tony Gonzalez, Charles Woodson, LaVar Arrington, Jerome Bettis, Vince Young, Mario Williams, Vernon Davis, Floyd Mayweather, Jay-Z, Brian McKnight, Nick Cannon, Bow Wow, Jermaine Dupri, Alicia Keys, Duane Martin, Morris Chestnut, Boris Kodjoe and Jada Pinkett Smith, just to name a select few. JAM is seeking result-orientated young professionals who are highly motivated, and dependable to join our experienced-based internship program.
Qualified candidates must be able to commit to a minimum of five full 8-hour work days in-office time. Applicants enrolled in college are eligible to receive credit. Selected interns will receive the opportunity to obtain educational on-the-job experience and training in the fields of football, basketball, golf and motorsports; diverse networking and broad exposure to the industry. The office is located in Clinton , Maryland and is not metro-accessible so reliable, personal transportation is required.
We are looking for:
o Public Relations majors, and students working towards a Masters in Public Relations. If you have no direct public relations background, you must have comparable experience that makes you beneficial to the program.
o Detail-orientated leaders; you must have the ability to lead in the development & implementation of proficient and creative Public Relation plans to help drive corporate and sales volume.
o Public Relations researchers and writers. You must possess the skill set to develop plans that are geared towards garnering publicity to various events, both private and public
o Knowledgeable persons. You must have a strong background in understanding the public relations environment and aware of industry changes.
o We are interested in individuals who are not afraid to be aggressive, astute and ready to write press releases and work with media outlets
Qualified applicants should be able to:
o Prepare or edit organizational publications for internal and external audiences, including employee newsletters and stockholders’ reports.
o Respond to requests for information from the media or designate another appropriate spokesperson or information source.
o Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with representatives of community, consumer, employee, and public interest groups.
o Plan and direct development and communication of informational programs to maintain favorable public and stockholder perceptions of an organization’s accomplishments and agenda.
o Confer with production and support personnel to produce or coordinate production of advertisements and promotions.
o Arrange public appearances, lectures, contests, or exhibits for clients to increase product and service awareness and to promote goodwill.
