L’Oréal has received this distinction for the 5th consecutive year. www.loreal.com Job Summary · L’Oréal USA seeks an intern to provide support to the Director/Manager of CSR and Sustainability in the development, coordination and administration of sustainability programs. Essential Functions: · Research/Writing o Develop multi-media content (press release, brochure, fact sheets, presentations, stories, videos) for internal and external audience o Publish a bi-monthly sustainability newsletter o Compile and maintain confidential information and working knowledge of major concepts, assignments, projects, etc., directly related to the office of CSR o Conduct best-practice research on CSR programs and draft recommendations o Responsible for updating the CSR website with pertinent data, stories as applicable o Responsible for coordinating CSR updates to Planet L’Oreal · Project Coordination o Develop and maintain efficient record-keeping systems for quick retrieval on specified projects and programs o Key contact to U.S and international Sr Management for CSR initiatives o Coordinates training, conferences, events in supports of CSR o Redesign the internal CSR platform o Interact and coordinate outside visitors/consultants/agency meetings · Miscellaneous o Provide support to the Sustainability/CSR functions as needed o Provide administrative support as needed: Schedules appointments, coordinate daily meeting and special projects, attend meetings and provide recap of key issues Qualifications/Requirements · Recent undergradute with a degree in Communications, Journalist or related field; must have receieved undergraduate degree within the last 12 months in order to be eligible. Sustainability and CSR background is a plus but not required. · Knowledge and passion for CSR & Sustainability · Previous internship/work experiences. Hands on, day-to-day experience developing, managing and executing corporate communication and community relations plans, programs and vehicles. · Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher) · Experience in Photoshop is a plus but not required · Strong writing and editing for traditional and social media · Strong time management, planning and organizational skills · Ability to take initiative and be self-motivated · Willingness to work as a member of a team · Ability to work independently, in a face-paced and results-driven environment · Ability to provide writing samples upon request · Ability to start position on or around December 1st, 2013
