Marketing Intern

POSITION SUMMARY:
FITZ & CO is seeking a motivated intern who is passionate about art and has a strong desire to gain a greater understanding of the contemporary art market and its major players to join the Development and Marketing team. We offer a unique opportunity to learn about a very important facet of the business of art by playing an integral role in the planning, account coordination and special events management of campaigns for visual arts organizations. You will work directly with the Director of Strategic Development and Account Executives supervising Audience Development, Social Media, Sponsorship, and Business Development in various aspects of day-to-day account team management that would include research for the development of VIP events and guest lists, implementing social media strategies, outreach to museum groups, collectors, art advisers, and art world personalities, database administration, and administrative support.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Work will be performed in the New York Office
• Successful candidates would have completed or would be currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Art History, Fine Arts, Public Relations, Communications or a related area
• Strong communication, telephone and computer skills are a must
HOURS:
• This internship will require a minimum of 2 full days a week (Monday thru Friday from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and later as needed)
COMPENSATION: Unpaid, school credit optional
