Hill+Knowlton Strategies is seeking a fellow to support the U.S. External Communications team in the Washington, D.C., office. This is a formal fellowship designed to introduce you to the day-to-day business of a strategic communications firm and to help you develop the essential written and oral communicative skills required to conduct public relations activities. The fellowship is merely step one toward what will become a fulfilling career for many.
Fellows will be assigned to work with a mid-level liaison on their respective team. Assignments are generally made on the basis of staffing needs for each client account, but whenever possible, we will match the assignment with the intern’s personal skills and interests.
We require full-time availability throughout the program (minimum 40 hours per week) for a minimum of three months.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or declared major in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English or related field
- Strong writing, copy editing and research skills, as well as a knowledge of social media
- Experience writing blog posts/press releases a plus
- Previous PR/Marketing internship or relevant leadership role at college/university
- Desire for a career in PR/Marketing/Communications!

Compensation:
$15/hour + overtime eligible (+40 hours/week)
