We are seeking candidates for a BUYING (MENS) INTERNSHIP located in NEW YORK CITY. The position requires someone that is personable, energetic, highly organized and hard working. Individual should have a passion for the fashion industry and should enjoy working with a team. Must be available January through May 2014.

The goal of the internship is to learn and understand the roles of a Buyer. Work with the Planning, Allocations and Visual teams to understand the different roles that go into the buying process. The Intern will take part in weekly Business reviews, markdown procedures and meeting preparation.
Responsibilities: Checking in and keeping track of samples, entering projections into DeSL, work on the Men’s Compass, helping to keep spreadsheets up to date (adding new styles and information), prepare Cad boards for meetings.

Qualifications
Education/Experience:
Currently in College pursuing a degree in functional area. Junior or Senior student preferred.

Skills: – Knowledge of Excel
– Studied courses in Fashion merchandising and retail math
