Application Deadline:  Dec. 15
Atlanta Magazine is looking for college juniors and seniors passionate about Atlanta’s
dining scene. This highly-competitive internship is an exceptional opportunity to explore

Starting in early January and through Spring 2014, the dining intern will:
• Write and report stories for the magazine’s food blog, Covered Dish
• Pitch his or her own stories for the blog
• Produce Atlanta Magazine’s weekly dining and recipe newsletters
• Take part in editorial planning meetings
The successful candidate will be intellectually curious, self-directed, and have:
• Publishing experience — student media and/or a previous internship
• Strong reporting and research skills
• The ability to write clear, entertaining, and accurate prose
• The ability to generate fresh story ideas
• A proven ability to meet deadlines and be punctual
• Knowledge of how to use a stylebook (we use Chicago)
• A positive attitude that works well with others
• Basic photography skills (video/audio production experience is a big plus, but not
required)
This internship requires a minimum time commitment of 12-15 hours per week. This is an
unpaid internship (we provide a modest parking/MARTA stipend). Access to a car for
reporting is a plus, but not required.
