About our Unit: The CNN Network Booking Department is responsible for working with a variety of networks and platforms for CNN Worldwide, including CNN/US and CNN.com. Its main responsibility is delivering editorially sound content in the form of accurate, and creative on-air guests segments, pitches and story ideas to all network entities, whether in breaking news situations, in the daily routine of vetting guests, or for special projects for on-air, on-line, and off-air content.

Internship Description: Students may have the opportunity to learn and observe a number of functions within the department, such as the research aspects of finding and getting guests to air, managing our online multimedia interactive database, and preparing for future news events. Interns will have an opportunity to interact with television guests as greeters in the Atlanta bureau and occasionally assist in the preparation of editorial board or high-level meetings between newsworthy officials and CNN management. In addition, interns may learn how to prepare background reports on countries or past news events for network planning purposes.
