The Family Wellness Center, PLLC is a private for-profit behavioral health practice which has office locations in Greenville, Washington & Williamston. The practice was founded in 2007 by David Bell, PhD, LMFT, LCAS. He provides treatment for children, adolescents, adults & families. The practice has 5 full-time therapists, a psychiatrist, and several part-time clinicians. Therapists provide office and school-based services. The practice accepts Medicaid & most major insurances & has the ability to request state funding for clients who qualify as indigent.
Job Description:
The qualified individual will need to present with confidence & knowledge of marketing within the human services community. The practice will provide training regarding details of the services offered; experience within the mental / behavioral health field is preferred, but not necessary. Individual will not be required to work a “set schedule”, but the practice would like approximately 10-20 hrs/week in the field marketing along with checking in with the practice manager & director as needed throughout the week. Traveling within Beaufort, Martin, and Pitt counties would be necessary. A possibility exists for practice to create a regular marketing position post internship.
*Marketing display: assist FWC with development of agency banner/display, and co-create designs for marketing materials for distribution at seminars, conferences, expos, and generally.
*Community outreach: visit with & circulating agency information/brochures to local adult care/pediatric offices, day care centers, after school centers, public and private schools, etc.; educating the public as to the services provided by FWC
*Community development: meet with local businesses for the purpose of networking; FWC is a member of Pitt County Chamber of Commerce & the practice is looking to collaborate with the other businesses within the Chamber.
*Community involvement: research and coordinate with FWC director relevant opportunities with the community which FWC may participate, Ex: health expos & conventions; intern may attend some events if needed.
