We are pleased to offer a 12 week Summer Internship starting in May 27 th thru August 15 th 2014 at BMW of North America, LLC.
The Intern will assist the MINI Communications Manager with the planning and implementation of the press activities related to MINI TAKES THE STATES. The 5 th edition of the popular rally will kick off on Saturday, July 26, 2014 in San Francisco, and will make a “NOT NORMAL” journey to Boston by weaving through 18 states and 15 cities over 14 days. The cross-country rally for MINI owners and enthusiasts will conclude in Boston on Sunday, August 10, 2014. Responsibilities will include media pitching (print, online and broadcast), coordinating event logistics with the MINI USA event agency partners and Peppercomm, MINI USA’s PR Agency, write and edit press materials and briefing documents for executives and spokespeople. MINI USA is planning a stunt with Tony Hawk that will be filmed prior to MTTS and a live performance is planned for the kick-off in July 26. The candidate will also help in the planning and implementation of this stunt (pitching to broadcast media in California, broadcast footage to national networks for MTTS etc.)
