Samsung Electronics is offering a challenging, 10-week summer internship experience based at our headquarters in Ridgefield Park, NJ. The internship program is designed to offer meaningful, hands-on experience in various aspects of product marketing for the digital imaging and storage product categories.
Common Essential
Duties & Resp.

  • Assist in identifying growth opportunities, both short term and long term, for Samsung in North America.
  • Participate in strategic projects in a strategic support capacity.
  • Assist in performing in-depth analysis and syndication of data as needed.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders and program/project members.
  • Follow-up on key issues and report progress in a timely fashion.
  • Assist in analyzing competitive business performance and strategy from a market perspective and develop a set of strategic tactics to achieve and sustain #1 market position.
  • Periodic business reviews.
  • Competitive positioning analysis of market and competitors.
  • Deliver set of insights and recommendations.
  • Provide in-depth strategic insights and thought leadership on electronics industry, channel, and consumer trends.
  • Assist in conducting strategic & ad hoc analysis as key issues arise.
  • Help develop trends and events into actionable insights.
  • Help develop business cases and strategic options based on industry insights, internal capabilities, financial models, ROI analysis to support planning initiatives.
  • Conduct micro-internal consulting project to provide objective and strategic insights/options.

Background /
Experience
Must currently be pursuing an MBA or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or a related discipline required.
  • 2+ years of work experience in consumer product marketing with a successful track record for growth and leadership.
  • Experienced in presenting findings and recommendations to senior management.

  • Strong interpersonal, and communication skills and leadership to lead and coordinate projects across multiple organizations.
  • Strong problem solving skills and self-motivation / initiatives.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.
  • Must have the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Must be able to work 10 consecutive weeks at our Ridgefield Park, NJ location
