The intern will assist Communications Staff with all departmental duties. Availability May 2014 to August 2014.
Please Note: This is an unpaid internship.
Daily Responsibilities:
· Writing and editing of publications, primarily team Media Guide, as well as press releases and other written materials as needed
· Management of news clippings
· Maintaining and updating media distribution lists
· Coordinating distribution of requested printed materials
· Assisting with development of media packets for NHL Draft, Development Camp and Training Camp
Key Project:
· Assisting with the production of Media Guide, including player bio information, updating of record book and statistical research
Requirements:
The interns must possess strong writing and editorial skills and be computer literate. The intern must be able to prioritize needs and responsibilities effectively, work with minimum supervision and be flexible with work assignments. Junior or senior standing with a Journalism/Communications major is not required, but strongly encouraged. Interns must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
