Graphics Intern Position Overview:
The Graphics/Web Intern at Three Ships Media will assist our talented creative team to develop, create, and deliver high-quality creative content to advance the Three Ships Media brand. This content may include online ads, information graphics, web layouts and landing pages. The Graphics/Web Intern will be involved in assuring the quality of the work, making sure deadlines are met, ensure the strategy remains consistent, and adheres to the development process the Creative Director sets forth.
Position Responsibilities:
- Catalog Photo Library
- Graphics/Web intern would be responsible for compiling all photos, videos, and illustration assets of TSM into an accessible location
- Assist with Content Marketing for TSM
- Produce content for TSM blog, internal marketing collateral, website, video production, and PowerPoint presentation
- Graphics/Web intern will help with implementation of new company-wide branding including updating current TSM products and services.
- Must be available for full time internship (40 hours a week) for 10 weeks with possible full-time hire after graduation as Graphic Designer
Skills Desired:
Graphic Design
- Design banner ads / display ads
- Design information graphics

- Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and other current technologies
Web Design
- Interface design
- Responsive design
- CMS / ESP
- HTML / CSS / Dreamweaver (or equivalent)
- User Experience design
- Conversion Optimization (familiarity)
Creative visioning and ability to brainstorm new approaches
Additional skills desired:
- Videography / Editing
- Motion graphics / Animation
- Illustration
- Audio production
- Copywriting and editing
- Experience with Javascript
Position Requirements:
- Education in undergraduate design program preferred. Journalism or multimedia scholastic background acceptable, but must have strong production and design skills
- Intern must have a strong portfolio and/or website with work clearly ladled with role and client
- Ability to produce content beyond traditional; show us your alternative story forms (show us you know how to communicate often complex subjects to audiences in unique and effective ways, as well as the right story form to use based on platform).
- Demonstrated ability to design for various industries, voices, and audiences.
- Proficient in Creative Suite.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
