Summer internship available to Grady College students; preference for candidates who will have completed junior year with a major in Public Relations, and will be returning to school for the Fall semester.
 
This position is based in Atlanta, working in Coca-Cola’s North America Group Public Affairs and Communications function, reporting through Coca-Cola’s Brand and Business Communications Group. Group’s primary responsibility is to protect and enhance the reputation and image of the company and its brands, through relationships and communication with key constituencies, principally the media and consumers through the media.
 
Intern must be intellectually flexible and creative, have excellent written and oral communication abilities, and be competent in project/task prioritization.  Strong interpersonal skills, high energy and enthusiasm, computer literacy, and social media expertise are also essential.
 
Internship will provide broad exposure to the diverse strategic issues and opportunities facing global consumer goods companies.
 
Intern will work with a team of public and media relations professionals on brand communications, including brand PR and events, sports/entertainment properties, issue management, internal communications, and community relations. Intern will be responsible for communicating with PR agencies, attending brand meetings, interfacing with media, drafting press materials, and participating in brainstorming sessions. Intern will report to Scott Williamson, vice president, Public Affairs and Communications, Coca-Cola North America.
 
Salary/Benefits: Intern will receive a salary from $1,800 to $2,500 per month for the duration of contract, based on education level and prior work experience.  Internship will last 10-12 weeks.
